“This is advertised as a paddle/kayak tour, however, I think you’re on land more than you’re on your SUP/Kayak. We went towards the mangroves, but only went in approx. 500 ft before turning around. It was extremely disappointing! I was hoping for a much better exploration of the mangroves! After turning around, we cut straight across to Raccoon Island. The island was very cool to see and got some insightful history and whatnot, but spent more time here than on the water. From the mangroves to the island was only about 1500 ft. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and we saw so much wildlife along the way, plenty of birds and even alligators in their natural habitat. Chris was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience both safe and fun. He shared interesting facts about the ecosystem and made sure everyone felt comfortable on the water. “We went out and it was raining on and off and when it did clear we just power boated around which was interesting but not what I signed up for or paid for. Never got to kayak which is what I really wanted to do and thought that this would be a good combination. Sadness. I would have signed up for the power boat tour and saved alot of money if that had been what I wanted to do.”
